the Owners
Shayne
Davidson
is a Certified Legal Video
Specialist* and co-owner
of VideoTrack. Shayne
has an extensive audio
and video background and
heads VideoTrack's production
department. He oversees
all facets of video production,
including videotaping,
editing and duplication;
digital services, including
video and audio encoded
to CD, video and text
synchronization, and digital
editing; and scanning
services, including photo,
image and document scanning.
Identifying and researching
emerging technologies
and equipment that work
well within the niche
of visual evidence and
trial presentation is
an aspect of the business
that Shayne finds both
challenging and rewarding.
Deborah
Burk
is a Certified Legal Video
Specialist* and co-owner
of VideoTrack. She has
been involved in the legal
field since 1978, and
graduated with honors
in 1986 from the University
of San Diego's Paralegal
Program. Through her many
years as a senior litigation
paralegal in charge of
complex litigation, she
gained extensive personal,
hands-on trial experience,
locally and throughout
the country. She also
served as paralegal to
the General Counsel of
Hitachi Home Electronics
of America, the multimillion-dollar
subsidiary of corporate
giant Hitachi, Ltd. At
VideoTrack, Debbie manages
the administrative and
client services aspects
of the business, and her
background as a litigation
paralegal has enabled
VideoTrack to offer extensive
deposition transcript
management and trial presentation
software, training and
consultation services
Our
Philosophy
We started
VideoTrack with the idea
that we could provide a
service to attorneys that
would meet their exacting
standards while at the same
time being more affordable
and therefore available
to a broader client base.
We used Shayne's audio and
video education and experience
to carefully select deposition
recording gear and editing
equipment that would produce
the best picture possible
and crystal clear audio
without requiring our clients
to spend their entire litigation
budget.
We then
instilled in our business
model the standards that
Debbie knew were absolutely
essential based on her background
as a litigation paralegal
-- the importance of meeting
every deadline, of delivering
what we promised, of making
sure that each and every
videotape was recorded or
duplicated with precise
accuracy, and that price
really does matter. Finally,
we added the highest level
of service and dedication
to our clients, and a commitment
to stay abreast of technology
and add to our services
that which would help our
clients better represent
their clients from the commencement
of discovery through trial.
More than a decade later,
with thousands of depositions
and hundreds of trials behind
us, we're still following
our original philosophy.
Our favorite VideoTrack
slogan is "Your bottom
line is our top priority,"
and we mean it!
Upon
personal request, references

*The
CLVS program is administered
through the National Court
Reporter's Association.
CLVS certification ensures
a certain level of familiarity
and competency with the
nuances of using video and
audio in the legal arena.
The program includes a legal-specific
training seminar, a written
knowledge test and a video
deposition production test.
In addition to CLVS status,
an attorney selecting a
videographer should also
look for formal video education,
overall years of experience
in the video and audio industry,
and knowledge of the rules
and procedures governing
the deposition, discovery
and trial processes.
